About the Event: Navigating Uncertainty: an #EventProfs Huddle.
WHEN: April 2nd; your pre-booked braindates can take place anytime between 7:00AM-7:00PM Eastern Time.
WHERE: Directly on our platform, where you can use most browsers on a video-call enabled device, and physically be anywhere you’d feel comfortable taking a call.
This fully virtual Braindate experience is themed, Navigating Uncertainty: an #EventProfs Huddle. The event will serve as an opportunity to go on braindates with your industry peers in order to share knowledge, brainstorm, and support one another through navigating tumultuous times in the event industry.
The week leading up to the event, you’ll have the opportunity to post topics for discussion and book others for one-on-one or group braindates—all virtually. For example, you might post topics or join conversations about:
- Online community building: what we can learn from the tech industry
- Where’s the buffet? Creating serendipity in a virtual context
- Welcome to the party: What’s a good online host?
How It Works
The action begins about a week prior, when we’ll open the Braindate Topic Market and send you your official login invitation. You’ll start posting braindate topics on a dedicated platform and sending braindate invitations to meet (virtually!) one-on-one or in small groups, at any time during that 7AM-7PM ET slot on April 2nd.
On April 2nd, we’’ll open a Virtual Braindate Lounge from 7:00AM-7:00PM ET to host all of your braindates.
FAQ
Last updated March 13. We’ll update this section regularly as questions roll in.
I’m no expert in virtual events. I don’t think I have knowledge to share on the topic. Can I still come?
Absolutely. From what we’ve heard from many event professionals, no one feels like they are an expert in this novel reality. Asking the right questions or sharing relevant experience you gained in another context can be an incredibly powerful way to support the event profs community.
Do I need a video-chat capable device?
For this event, you will need a video-capable device.
I can’t make it at the designated time. What should I do?
Stay tuned for a future opportunity to join us for a virtual event!
