We launched Virtual Braindate in March 2020. Since then we’ve brought peer learning opportunities to over fifty virtual events across the globe. Over the course of these events, we asked both planners and attendees for their feedback: How can we evolve our product to better serve your needs?

Now, we’re excited to share with you brand new features that will help you launch and manage a Virtual Braindate experience that’s better than ever.

Braindate Showcase Page: a powerful asset in your event promotion toolbox

The new Showcase Page is the information hub for your Virtual Braindate event. You can use this page to communicate the unique and exciting value of your Braindate event or session.

What this means: use the Showcase Page to give your participants an irresistible preview of the Braindate experience you’ve planned for themall, before they sign up.

This highly customizable page brings together the event description, a sponsor showcase, and a sneak peek into the fascinating topics your community is excited to talk about. The best part: You can now use the showcase page to show off the high value of the braindate experience by spotlighting both:

  • The influential attendees your participants can book meetings with
  • The diverse list of exciting braindate topics your participants can book

For those planning an event dedicated solely to braindating, the showcase page is a precious time saver: you will no longer need to create a separate website to promote your braindate event.

The Showcase Page will be a powerful asset in your event promotion toolbox, providing all the information your participants need, in a beautiful and easy-to-digest format.

New Braindate Topic Cards: finding and booking the right braindates just got easier

Our classic topic cards just got a makeover!

We redesigned the braindate topic cards so that they’re cleaner, fresher and easier to read. With helpful new visual cues, participants will now be able to easily distinguish between group and one-on-one topics being offered in the braindate marketplace.

We redesigned the braindate topic cards so that they’re cleaner, fresher and easier to read. With helpful new visual cues, participants will now be able to easily distinguish between group and one-on-one topics being offered in the braindate marketplace.

Once you schedule a one-on-one or join a braindate, the cards will show that your invitation has been sent, and/or that you’ve joined the group braindate. This will make it easier for your participants to keep a track of all the fascinating conversations they’ve booked among a plethora of exciting braindate topics at their disposal.

Can’t decide amongst all the great topics? We’ve also added a ❤️ icon you can click to favorite and then save topics to peruse later.

New Video Layout: choose between split screen and one-at-a-time view when you video chat

With the latest development to the Braindate platform, participants will now have the option to choose between split screen view and one-at-a-time view.

Split Screen View

Split screen view lets you see all the participants you’re speaking with in a grid pattern, with your own view in the corner of the screen. This grid pattern will expand or contract as participants join and leave the meeting.

One-At-A-Time View

This layout was built specially for our unique group braindate feature, where you can have a conversation on a specific topic with up to five people.

If you select the one-at-a-time view, the video of whoever is the active speaker at the time will be larger, making it visually easier to follow conversations in a group of five braindate participants.
